Billboard poster for our soap

Created by Emma Hardy and Emma Goldie

This is the billboard poster for our soap. First of all we took photos of the characters on the 'green screen' and then edited all shots on 'PhotoShop', we then had to edit the 'E4' logo and banner to feature our soap title, which we did by using 'Keynote'.

Magazine front cover for our soap

Emma Garner and Tiffany Breen created this

This is the final version of our magazine front cover which features our soap star and other stars on the front. We took photos in front of the 'green screen' first of all - so that we could change the background easily, we then edited the background and picture on 'PhotoShop'. To add the other features we did this by using 'Microsoft Publisher'.

Costume Mock ups:

Archie
(Max)- Dressed casually as he is a relaxed character. Wearing a hooded jumper to represent he is hiding something.

Bella (Emma Goldie) - Usually dressed in work wear, formal and simple, hair is simple and make-up is minimal showing she doesn't make too much of an effort, the sutble make-up shows that she is an innocent and vulnerable character.

Sambuca (Tiffany) - Dressed in a revelling red dress, red to represent the evil side to her as she is dating a boy (Archie) who is already in a relationship. Always makes an effort, with big hair and lots of make-up, she is a provocative character.

Sarah (Emma Garner) - Dressed casually as she is walking to her friend's house, she is a vulnerable character.

Mark (Joe) - The murderer, he is dressed stereotypically in all black to show a dark, evil side to his character. Audience know something bad is going to happen by his choice of outfit.

Rachael (Emma Hardy) - Dressed casually as she has just returned home from school.

Rachael's Mother (Tiffany's Mother) - Dressed casually as she is in the comfort of her own home in this particular scene.

It also includes the props, costumes and locations used for the different scenes and stoylines.

Eastenders soap trailer

In this trailer, we see a montage of shots which switches from one character to another. The lines in the trailer are snipets of what will appear in full episodes to come. The lighting is dull and dingy, as it represents way the characters are feeling. The characters are being secretive and the lighting shows this by the way theres not full spot lights on them as the characters have something to hide. There is non-diegetic sound is added to the trailer to create tension. There are titles used to describe whats happening, e.g. 'Likes father', 'Likes son'.

Dallas 2012 trailer

Dallas 2012:

* Non-diegetic sound, creates tension whilst the audience is watching. The original soundtrack is played during the trailer so audience is able to identfy the soap.

* Story is split up into snippets as it gives the audience a preview of what is shown, the clips are introdduced by transaction to create more tension.

* Light on characters faces, lighting comes from different angles which creates tension.

* Different points of view shots showing the audience the character's lifestyles and their wealth.

* Montage of fast  moving shots which creates tension and antcipitation.

* Cue cards with writing on eg. 'money' cuts into scenes as a transition, creates tension.

* Dull lighting throughout the trailer which matches the storyline which could mean there is tension between characters, although the rooms in Dallas are kept dark due to the weather being very hot.

* J.R's office is dark with shadows as it represents that he is a shady character.

* Establishing shot of mansion showing the wealth of the characters in it.
